Back to work…
Well, its back to work and we’ve been given a small assignment based on highlighting anyone who’s reading this with what has been done throughout the holiays…
I’ve actually done quite a few bits and bobs throughout so quite proud of myself not totally forgetting about the course.
I have done the following:
- Looked into and added expression engine (http://expressionengine.com/) to a website I’m running in order to get quicker, easier updates as well as being able to update a little more “on the move”.
- Movie reviews! Myself and fellow movie reviewer (Martyn Littlewood) have been adding to Worth A Watch to add more movie reviews over the christmas holidays and now the sites had a bit of an update we’ll be adding more.
- Magazines, I bought a few web based magazines as well to further my reading (as suggested in the tutorial session) these being: “Web Design 4”, “Flash essentials” and “.net”
All of the above magazines have a web theme toward them as I have really gotten further into my web development and flash development. I think that theres so much that can be done with flash and the chance to move with images I’ve drawn by hand pose some interesting creative ideas.
I’ll be looking into animation and animated peices and film peices mainly when i’m doing the projects.
I have also found the sheer diversity in web creation to be something very worth looking into further, improving my knowledge of not only flash based websites but also CSS, PHP etc etc.
